Shadow Shot Sunday!

Get out the magnifying glass, get into your best sleuthing clothes and start prowling your environment looking for those wonderful, but sometimes elusive shadows. This fun and challenging meme is hosted each week by Tracy over at Hey Harriet! Click on the link under the blog title and sign up to play!! A little sun, not much, but enough to build hopes as we wait breathlessly for spring and glorious sunshine!!

A hush is over everything, Silent as women wait for love; The world is waiting for the spring.

Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty. Click on the web address under the blog title and sign up to play with us!  We're still playing hide and seek with the sun these days, but I spent more time browsing through my files than trying to chase a few new reflections -- I am looking forward to having something to chase soon!!!

We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.

I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see.

Sky Watch Friday!

Time to share your skies, the beauty over your world, the clouds, the colors! Sky Watch is hosted each week by Klaus and the Sky Watch team of Klaus, Sandy, Wren and me. Join us and the many people from all over the world who share theirs with us each week! Click on the post title to be taken to the SWF website where you can sign up. We've had a little of everything, as usual, I took these a couple of nights ago over a period of about 15 minutes! First a vapor trail following the jet by the moon, subtle change and then curly remainders of the trail, and the gradually changing skies as the sun went down. It was, as always, awesome! Hope you enjoy!

All you need is ignorance and confidence and the success is sure.
Mark Twain

And from my friend in Mumbai!!

The shy sky bride,
emerging
from a
quiet,
dark,
cold
winter trip
from her maternal
home;
her hair,
studded
with silver
flakes and drops
cold
but shining
as the sun slowly emerges
in the blue,
now at her new marital home....

The in-laws
offer
amazing warmth,
a mild sun,
fluffy clouds,
an aroma of flowers,
and
a special piece
of modern jewelery ....

A Charm bracelet
offered by
jets,
flying
in welcome formation,
in honor of
the new bride....

Confused???
I  became confused when I heard the word "Service" used with these agencies:

Internal Revenue
'Service' U.S. Postal  'Service' Telephone 'Service' Cable TV 'Service'  State, City, County & Public 'Service' Customer 'Service'
This is not what I thought
'Service' meant.
But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to 'Service' a few cows.

BAM!!!  It all came into focus.  Now I understand what all those agencies are doing to us.
You are now as enlightened as I am.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
